Usually we write about the wedding day, but today we're going to share our bride's proposal story because it's just THAT GOOD. San Francisco-native, Finesse, is a woman of many dichotomies. She’s a career-oriented girly-girl, who loves her some fashion, especially designer shoes. At the same time, she can hold her own in the athletic department, spending almost every weekend rock climbing. Basically, she’s the total package. Finesse and Tim met at the climbing gym. (Sidenote: ladies, you need to sign up for a membership right now. We can’t tell you how many brides we know that have met their SO’s this way.) Now on to the good bits. While on vacation with friends in Thailand, Tim proposed to Finesse in the most romantic and meta way possible with a box within a box within a box. Here's their story:
They had spent the day apart - Tim, with the boys watching football and Finesse, with the girls on a spa day. When she came back to the hotel suite, Finesse opened the door and was shocked to find a candlelit pathway to the sundeck. Following the path, the candles formed a heart on the deck. There, at the center of the heart, she found a table with an overflowing scrapbook box on it. The box was covered with photos, quotes, and mementos from their relationship. In her own words, “Once I opened the box, there was a hand-made ceramic container with rock climbing routes on the exterior. Inside, there was a three-dimensional figurine of Tim on one knee holding a ring box. When I turned around, Tim walked toward me, in the same exact outfit as the figurine, got on one knee and proposed. We were surrounded by 20 of our closest friends. It was definitely a moment I will never forget and the first time I cried out of pure joy.”
Stay tuned for photos from their wedding.
