On day four, of a five-day-60-mile hike on the Pacific Crest in Lake Tahoe, Samuel surprised Elise and popped the question. The bride immediately said, “Yes!” These two lovebirds met four years ago during the last few weeks before graduation from Dartmouth College. The couple chose to celebrate their big day near their alma mater, at Amee Farm Lodge, which embodied the couple's fun and relaxed personalities.
The weekend-long festivities took place in a quaint farm in Pittsfield, Vermont. Friends and family traveled from all over the country to witness the intimate ceremony. As the bride shared with us, “We wanted to keep things relaxed for everyone.” As a result, they wrote their own wedding ceremony and enlisted a close friend to officiate the wedding.
For her dress, Elise created her own custom wedding gown, a combination of the Marie bodice and the Grace skirt, resulting in a lace V-neck and tulle A-line wedding gown. We can’t think of a better fitting gown for Elise’s petite figure - the dress is as light and effortless as their wedding. Congratulations, Elise and Samuel!
